Dr. Puri is board certified in emergency medicine. She has certification for Advanced Cardiac life support, Advanced Trauma Life support and Advanced Pediatric Life support.

Accomplishments
As an outstanding physician Dr Puri has received many awards for her volunteer work. She was chosen by Medical Economics magazine to receive the "Doctor who Goes The Extra Mile Award". She received the "Earth Angel" award in 2001. She has been recognized and honored by Calhoun Community College for her volunteer services for the college. She is active in her church community at Austinville United Methodist Church where she founded the "Health Awareness Ministry". She has provided numerous workshops on nutrition and healthy lifestyle. She does home visits for "shut ins" who need medical care.
